Climbing is such an amazing sport for developing resilience. Resiliance is our ability to not just tolerat stress, but show up well in stress. We live in a world that, despite all the comforts that we have, is inherently stressful. Getting someone to the point where they're saying, like, ye, this is really hard, and i'm in a look for the tools to deal with this, rather than just feeling completely crushed by it, is what i think about when i'm teaching resiliency tools.
