The Light of the World by Marissa De Los Santos
The first is by poet Elizabeth Alexander it's called the light of the world do you know this one? Kelly Corrigan writes about her husband artist teacher larger than life full of joy he dies just four days after his 50th birthday completely unexpectedly. The book also has such a strong sense of humor and I think that's a nice balance for you so the phrase is funny and heartwarming characters doing their best in hard circumstances wonderfully human. There's so much here to recommend to many readers and it is a sad story of course because she's writing about the loss of this great love and this great man but also this book is so joyous.
