Should I Buy Treasury Bills or T-Bills?

I'm already invested in physical gold, silver, and plenty of copper jacketed lead. My two-part question is for my cash holdings that are not sitting in cash in my safe, would you recommend purchasing T-bills over an FDIC insurance savings account? Would you recommend something else? I say it depends on whether or not you trust the government's word to finance their activities. And if you look at the credit behind FDIC, technically the US Treasury does not give a full faith in credit behind the FDIC. But if you want to presume that's probably what will happen, you decide whether Treasury bills are FDIC credit.
