Compartments in Ecological Networks

The word compartments comes up again in your paper on synthetic transitions. You talk about how they correspond and sometimes don't to the boundaries between habitats or the relationships, the feeding relationships between organisms. And so, you know, in biology can be because you have something that defines a boundary, and that automatically defines the insight where you can then organize other modules. It's ecological networks have his nested structure.
