Depressive Treatment by Substance Use Disorders

People with both depression and substance use disorders were less likely to receive treatment for depression. This is discouraging, since prior work shown that the largest effects for concurrent depression substance use treatment actually come from those with co occurring alcohol use disorder. Making sure we are providing depression treatment to those who also have an alcohol use problem is critically important.
