Home ownership rates are supposed to be one of the main selling points that the capitalists are trying to push you on. And yet, the places with the freest of markets, the ownership rates are some of the lowest. The newer generations cannot even begin to imagine potentially having a home. So it's very important to note that you should be de programmed from the idea that capitalism will get you coshed and that it will get you the right to own more.
