Sobchak's Team Was Slapped With Extortion Charges
Sobchak has always managed to strike this very careful balance between being critical of the Kremlin and Vladimir Putin personally despite their close personal ties. In 2018 she ran for president and this presidential bid was speculated to have been approved by the Kremlin. But last night he ended up getting arrested for two months on suspicion of extortion. And Sobchak was rumored to be facing charges too so we just heard late last night that she had to flee Russia.
