The First News About the Suspect's Belt

The letters are heavily stylized, highly unusual and look sort of like calligraphy. You really can't tell if you're looking at a W and an H or an H and an M. There was also no context for where on the belt these letters were. We believe that the belt was handled by the suspect and did not belong to any of the victims.
