In the 90s, I began to evolve my first of rad, which I called radical software development. And what I added to that was I was concerned with a lot of the rad that was going on at the time and wanted to bring technical excellence back into the midst. So I went through these three stages, rad to radical to adaptive during the 1990s. Then sometime in the early 2000s, 16 of you got sat down in a retreat somewhere and hashed out the agile manifesto.
