Childbirth and Baptism in France and Poland
In poland, baptism intends to follow childbirth quite quickly. In france, it's much more of a spectacle and they can wait quite a long time between childbirth and baptism. This is partly about getting in the right got parents and trying to secure networks through got parentage. And i suppose there's an extent to which the marriage isn't timate really, until that consummation has happened as well. The father of the groom staying to make sure that the jousting has happened is certainly a surprising moment.
