A lot of his work these days is on kidney transplantation. It's against the law almost everywhere in the world to pay for a donor kidney. He also has an interest in what i call repugnant transactions, which are transactions that some people would like to engage in, and other people think they shouldn't be allowed to. In germany, Kidney exchange is legal but prostitution is illegal. The same thing is true about ands on markets. We sometimes, when we ban a market, we create a black market. Even though we we treat drug dealing the way we treat murderw we fill our prisons with with drug dealers.
