The Value of Working on Teams in Investigative Journalism
I love working on teams. There is this sort of myth of the solo investigative reporter who's like a curmudgeon who doesn't let anyone peer into their notebooks. But in my experience, especially when you're working so deeply on a story, I mean, some of the stories we've worked on in the dark, we worked on for years. And everybody on our team brings their own strengths. Once your question is different, everything about how you conduct the reporting and what you put out is different as well.
