Mark reminds me of the tone of the Book of Mormon where people are amazed and astonished a lot. One of the other unique elements of Mark's gospel is this concept of the Messianic secret. He charged them that they should tell no man. It says that phrase over and over again, which begs the question like, why would he do that? Does he want people to know he is the Messiah?
