Do Teams Overestimate Risk?
Young people tend to underestimate risk, but overestimate it if they ask for the numerical probabilities. The brain tends to react to thrill seeking and novelty seeking as rewards during adolescence. "If you almost metaphorically, do the risky thing still, it comes out in their favor," says psychologist David Frum.
