The Horde of the Plumbob
Plumbobs were used for building projects for measuring straight lines and they could also be used in multiples as part of a Roman tool called a gromer which would have been used for larger landscape management projects. Lucy is blown away by the amount of detail on this small sculpture too. When new the statue would have stood upright on a small base but there are some elements to this object missing.
