A Brief History of European Marriages
In fourteenth in the fourteenth century, english marriages seldom occurred during lent. Young men and women often worked in service until they had saved enough to establish their own nuclear households. English families wer thus were then nuclea. Long before the black death, peasants disregarded lineage,. rarely exchanged work with extended kin, nor rely on them for support. There was also a broad compliance with myriad church stretsers, which cannot be explained by anything but religion.
