How to Care for Your Elders

The elders anticipate that but the flock anticipates it. Most Christians in local churches historically have not been pastored well in this way. So you are training your church to have that expectation. And like Jim said, the congregation expects this because they know about it. Hopefully even look forward to it. But it's going to take time. You really will have to train and teach people to actually have this expectation. Hebrews 13 17 is written to the Christians about how their leaders are to be caring for them. We ask Lord would you help these brothers who are listening to this, those who are pastors and have that weighty and noble calling to give account for individual souls to Jesus?
