The Moral Interpretation of Aesthetics and Vicarious Effects
We could recall the Heraclitian innocence, child at play, being sort of the essence of the artistic spirit for Nietzsche. And so no one's ever come up with a better explanation of tragedy. Anyone who still persists in talking only of those vicarious effects proceeding from extra aesthetic spheres and who does not feel he is above the pathological moral process should despair of his aesthetic nature.
