AI can model or speak natively the next layer up of complexity of nature. This is why DeepMind was able to predict 200 million protein shapes with a couple weeks worth of compute, where it used to take one PhD student, their entire PhD, to get one protein shape maybe. We are going to see this kind of structural revolution where once you understand a protein shape you can start to design medicines better. And there's another way in which we can model the complexity of the world and way we couldn't before: human behavior.

It may seem like the rise of artificial intelligence, and increasingly powerful large language models you may have heard of, is moving really fast… and it IS.

But what’s coming next is when we enter synthetic relationships with AI that could come to feel just as real and important as our human relationships... And perhaps even more so.
