Kant's Concept of Meaning Creation

I think the most useful way to think about Kant's view of meaning is by contrast to, you could say, an ancient conception of the purpose of human existence. I don't think that value creation in Nietzsche is something that can happen arbitrarily or willy-nilly. So let me just sketch out how I understand it and then we'll talk more about this perfectionist liberalism.
