After 2016, I think initially the economic anxiety narrative won out in this broader mainstream discourse. But you know, it's been looked at a lot and a very clear picture has emerged. And there isn't just not a good empirical basis for the economic anxiety Narrative. It reflects a tendency to sanitize the discourse by excluding race and racism and sexism as the central organizing principles in American politics.
