A cheetah and a dog became friends at the San Diego Zoo 40 years ago. Cheetahs have some doglike qualities, so they have almost doglike feet. The zoo works with dogs to help sniff out endangered tadpoles in wilds. They're also helping scientists find rare critters that can't be found on their own.
