You can have multiple of these lock files so you have a large code base and different parts of it that genuinely need conflicting dependencies. It's pretty common to have the lock file for my web application code and here's a differentLock file for my data science code because there are just conflicts between them. There may be no reason to install a jupiter lab on your fastapi server right if it's well that wouldn't happen anyway as pants would know.
