We need objectivity in order to defend subjectivity, and indeed, once you have objectivity, the subject becomes all the more glorious. Michael Ward is making a case here in Planet Narnia that only he knows what CS Lewis was really doing. He makes a pretty awesome case for kind of a hidden gem to understand the Chronicles of Narnia.
