How Did You Write Your First Novel?

i stopped writing science fiction when i was in gradschool, because we weren't supposed to. And then i started writing science fiction again because i started a writer's group and one of the guys in the writersgriup gave me normanswer to read,. And i thought, people are doing interesting stuff in this space. I don't care if i'm not supposed to do this is what i do. So i started writing fantasy and science fiction again, science fiction.
