Children's Books - Are They the Bible?

i would read books to my kids every night. Every time i, you know, i would find myself editing in my head prior to actually reading it out loud. And so te so often children's books just have this, they lack joy, they lack excitement and, and, you knowlik. But because there was, they were alive and th they rhymed, or they had a rhythm to them.
