The Different Models of Magic

There are a whole bunch of different models of magic that one can operate under and even interchange between. I want to start by addressing the psychological model where a practitioner uses a symbol, a ritual or whatever icons of significance to condition their own unconscious to work towards their objective without any active direction. This is my preferred model, my preferred framework when I'm having a capital S skeptical day. You know, like some days you don't really believe in unmeasurable phenomena, but this model relies on manipulating functions of the brain that modern science doesn't really understand yet.
