"I had just been doing plays so I kind of felt like I'll do theater for my whole life and then once in a while I'll do a TV and film job," she said. "Just to be able to like walk on a set and see how they're all working together sounded really inspiring to me" She says the show's writers were open to her ideas about who Zoe was, which is different from some shows where an actor with a small part goes over and starts talking to the writer or director.
