The Importance of Sexually Differentiated Body

Augustine's embrace of material continuity as the primary continuity of resurrection encourages us to value our sexually differentiated bodies. Gendered and sexed embodiment is meant to be a witness to the God who is faithful to Israel and to us. The body is not met for fornication but for the Lord and for the Lord, the Lord for the body. We're the people who are carrying in our bodies the death of Jesus, so the life of Jesus can be made visible in our bodies.
