I was surprised to see Putin's video statement where he brought up the 1917 revolution and really called this treason. It seemed like passing the message through Lukashenko wasn't doing the job. This thing could have escalated into slaughter, you know, a big bloody violent battle inside Russia. And now they want to keep going in hopes that they can't destabilize Russia even though it has 6,000 nukes.
