April Callahan is a historian and host of the excellent podcast Dressed. She let me into the archives of the Fashion Institute of Technology, which has every conceivable fashion magazine. In all the images in this book, even though these women are all dressed in completely different clothes for different occasions and different colors, they all, without fail, seem to be wearing the exact same pair of shoes.
