The Pros and Cons of Artillery Production in Ukraine

Ukraine needs hundreds of thousands of artillery shells. We might have been in a better place if Europeans did not wait 13 months until the war to invest in their own artillery production. The Ukrainian plan can try to establish or try to hope for, is that over time this pressure will lead to a significant weakening of Russian positions on one of these fronts. That will then create an opportunity where if Ukrainian forces break through a line, the Russian military will not have a mobile reserve available there to count to them.
