The Purpose of the Psalms
Modern evangelicals often internally wince when they read Psalms of lament or passages in Job and elsewhere in your Testament. So much of the Psalms is David saying you know I can't believe that you're making me suffer worse than anyone else has ever suffered, he says. There's no there's no sense that god is is upset with David for bringing this raw frankly theologically inaccurate kind of heart cry to him according to Paul.
