How to Use BB Edit to Improve Your Productivity
BB Edit is just constantly running. It doesn't nag you about anything. You can write a Perl script and run it with the menu command, and I do. That's not going to be an experience by using BB Edit anymore. The editor has most of the features that all text editors have but not all of them in its default state. There are no layers or layer options for BB edit. If you never saved, it just says you want to quit, final quit. And if you really need an escape hatch, which is like, look, looks at my giantenax file.
