When You Are Writing Who Are You Writing For?
When you are writing who are you writing for in your mind's eye is it to please yourself. Is it to please your reader is it to a higher calling? I think I'm lucky that I have a muse my publisher Joel Fotino since St. Martin's press has been my mentor for 27 years so when I write I think what would Joel think of this and that gives me a cue if I'm on the right track. Also had another wonderful writing coach a man named Arthur Kretschmer who was the editor of Playboy and he told me Julia put it all in don't leave anything out.
