The Importance of Philosophy for Youth

A study of philosophy, at the very least in a rudimentary way, is necessary for all youth. A good theoretical work in philosophy is as free from oratory and propaganda as a good scientific treatise. The philosophers have carried on a long conversation with each other in the history of thought. You would better listen in on it before you make up your mind about what any of them says.
