The Role of Music Supervisors in Filmmaking
A music supervisor is the person that the filmmaker has to imagine and then execute a musical identity for the movie. "You start with any music that might be on camera, right? So you have the responsibility of following that through initially," he says. The director tries to figure out how to use music to push the story forward or music that's playing on the radio.
