Exercise induces various adaptations depending on the type, specificity, volume, intensity. The degree of adaptation that one triggers is often associated with things that normally we don't associate with exercise related health. Given that we want inflammation in order to trigger the adaptation response to exercise and given that we want to reduce inflammation in the recovery period, can we put together a logical framework as to when is best to take anything anti-inflammatory? We actually ran a study on cross country runners who went through their biopsies three weeks before they came to our lab for testing. And we did it pre and post three weeks of taper. It's important to do that.
