Coiled steps is a way to build etheerogeneous clusters. It lets you fire up thousands of workers in just minutes. You can change your code on the fly, and it will be pickled entirely by an algorism. The idea was that all of this work is a lot, and it months, is potentially months work of a devops engineering time to have it in production scale with many workers.
