God's salvation of his people is because he has placed his name upon them. If the lord had not been bound up with his people, then salvation would take a very different form. The fact that god has created and placed is name upon his people and taken er and identified with them generates all of these problems. What happens when his people are blaspheming, causing his name to be blasphemed among the gentiles? Some sort of reckoning has to occur. His people have to be punished in some way, but they can't be punished in ta way that would just destroy them. They have to be redeemed. And in that respect, i think it is the end of what love
