What Makes a Strong PCN?
NHS Confederation recently published a report looking at PCNs three years on. What conclusions did the NHS Confederation come to about what makes a strong PCN and what ICSes need to do to support them? We noticed that there was a variation actually amongst them in terms of primarily CD leadership. Behind that, because CDs are often just partners or salary doctors and in some cases they are nurses or pharmacists,. So leadership and leadership maturity is a real key factor in that success of PCNs.
