Druid was initially created at MetaMarkets and engineers there called Eric Cheddar started actually the first lines of Druid. And we built it for a lot of like MetaMarkets' use cases which are centered around exploring ad tech data. We open source Druid after we were developing it in house for about two years. It's kind of nice to see that it has indeed gotten picked up for some different use cases and it's adding value to people out there.
