The False Implication of Causation

Cornell University held the first women's studies class in 1969. Catherine Stimson, 1971, noted that prior to the existence of women's studies programs, omissions, distortions, and trivialization of women's issues dominated the academy. Larger broad changes in society may have drawn some off of the women's studies but probably were more driven by heavy liberal activism.
