For secure attachment, the child or person must experience a sense of consistency from the caregiver or caregivers. They must feel like people are there and they can count on the being there. The way we interact with the te nager in order to maintain that secure attachment is going to be different than the way we interacted with an infant. We'll talk about ways to promote secure attachment in an age appropriate manner.
