The Charge That the Enlightenment Was the Source of Eurocentrism, Racism, and Colonialism
The enlightenment was the movement that came up with the idea of universalism in the first place. Without it, we would not have the tools to fight against colonialism or against sexism and racism. It's a charge that not only misunderstands the enlightenment, it just turns it upside down. They wrote specifically some of the strongest condemnations of colonialism and of slavery that anybody ever wrote.
