Senator Ted Cruz Proposed a Bill to Regulate Smart Devices
The Smart Devices Act would introduce a layer of regulation for smart devices. It would require the manufacturers to clearly disclose whether these appliances have listening devices, cameras, or other spying technologies. Senator Ted Cruz has proposed this with the chair of that committee at Democrat Maria Cantwell of Washington. The bill is also co-sponsored by liberal Georgia Senator Rafael Warnock.
