The film is almost three hours long. The pacing is certainly intentional and ultimately really effective, but it does go on for a long time. In the early stages of the film, it immerses us in the nitty gritty details of Lydia's life. And as time goes on, and it pivots at a pretty critical scene that I think is probably the movie scene of the year. It asks questions like can brilliant people be tolerated if they are immoral? And should they be tolerated?
