Mike Portenoy took a side gig playing for avenge sevenfold on a tour, found out what it was like to be in a band that isn't trying to impress music nerds and quit dream theater. He sat down at the drum set every night, he saw all the smiling faces and the people having a great fucking time banging their heads completely wasted and fighting each other. Women go for one thing.
