The Importance of Compliance in Employment
You need to put in place anything which makes it clearer for the person as to how things work and gives you a clear mechanism or procedure to follow when things don't work well. Now that can be a combination of a making sure that they have a really good induction on the first day when two to three days of work will help them realise how computer systems works. Then it's making sure that there are appropriate policies in place. Some of the statutory policies about maternity leave or annual leave, you know, etc need to be in place so that you're not making it up from scratch every time that one of these situations comes around.
