Email marketing costs so much because it makes 10 times what it costs to actually send it. A company like old Navy spends like a million bucks a year just on sending email, but if they probably make a million bucks in like three days while sending out these emails. ConvertKit and drip and whatnot where they put a lot of automation and segmentation and all of that stuff that hooks into ecom.
